Hi Y'all

I have noticed that several members email addresses in the HSRA database are out of date. We need to have the latest email addresses. We are using your email address as your username. To change your email address contact me with the new address and i will change it in all of the HSRA databases.

Danny is finalizing the Fall Ladder and posting the results on the old ladder page. All enquiries on the Fall ladder, please, contact Danny.

Players are now asking about the start of the Spring ladder. The plan is to start the ladder towards the end of February. All things being equal. All enquiries for the Spring Ladder should be directed to me. The current box is the last posted Fall Ladder and is ready for update. It is not active, so you cannot enter scores. Though you can have a "poke around" and get yourselves familiarized with the site. I shall email all the box players when the Spring Ladder is posted and active.

Thanks for your patience
Adrian

Hi Y’all

As most of you are now aware I am taking over the responsibility of organizing and administering the box ladder for the HSRA. Danny has had an increase in workload with his real job and could not devote the amount of time he felt he needed to keep the ladder rolling along successfully. He has played a major role in helping us get together the new electronic ladder, for which we are very thankful. He will be staying on the HSRA scene and helping out where possible. Obviously still giving some of you a “run for your money” on the squash court. So thanks to Danny from all of us.

Now for the really big news. We are introducing an electronic ladder format, that is hosted on a new web site http://www.houstonsquash.org , for the upcoming ladder. You can also access the site from the HSRA web site by selecting the ladder button. This means that now you “the player” will enter or change your scores and the ladder will update in real time. Which means I can sit back on a beach in the Caribbean drinking cold Coronas. (sorry Danny, we just did not get it running soon enough)

Upon entering the web site you will see a message on the Login page. This will give you the guidance for logging in, resetting your password and checking your information profile. Once logged in and you are ready to use the web site further guidance can be found in the help section.
However, the site is user friendly and reasonably self-explanatory. Just play with the buttons and tabs for five minutes and you should be able to find your way around. Also, please, take five minutes to read the new rules. Any problems contact me at hsrasquashladder@yahoo.com.

A final note. It pays to start playing your games early. Not only are you not scrambling in the last few weeks to fit your games in, it also motivates others to “get going” as well.

Good luck, have some great squash and keep it safe.
